A self-described "ice cream junkie" was charged Sunday with breaking into a church earlier this month to get his hands around some of the sweet stuff. 24-year-old Andrew Steven Jung was drunk when he allegedly smashed a window at St. Peters Catholic Church in Kirkwood, Missouri, and broke into a freezer, from which he helped himself to an "undisclosed amount" of ice cream.
He was spotted wandering nearby, ice cream on his face and clothes, but missing a ball cap he reportedly left at the scene. When questioned by cops, Jung reportedly said he's addicted to the dessert, and once had a hat like the one found near the freezer, but he couldn't remember what happened to it.
Jung was charged on Sunday with three felonies, including burglary, property damage, and stealing.
