The Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County will host “Petals & Pets” with Pugh’s Flowers on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.

“Petals & Pets” will offer participants a casual night of wine, munchies, and instructed floral arranging by the professionals at Pugh’s Flowers. Pugh’s co-owner Michael Pugh will show guests how to create their own striking holiday arrangements. Registration is $40 and includes all supplies, flowers, food, and beverages, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour of the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County.

“We’re looking forward to partnering with Pugh’s Flowers on this fun event,” said Leah Walker, marketing and development director at HSMSC. “It would make a great girls’ night out or a mother-daughter night.”

Registration is available online at www.memphishumane.org or at the door. Seating is limited, so advance registration is encouraged.

“The work that the Humane Society does is important  in our community and I am proud to be able to help raise funds and awareness for them,” said Michael Pugh, co-owner of Pugh’s Flowers. “My family’s pets, a dog and cat, are both shelter rescues and have been with us for over 9 years. It is an honor for our company Pugh’s Flowers to be able to give back to the community in such a small way.”
