“The Mid-South Fair has proudly been host to family fun and special memories since 1856,” said Debbie Mendenhall, DeSoto County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Landers Center executive director. “This 170-year-old event is a beloved tradition in my own household, and it’s a privilege to see it return bigger and better than ever each year. The Fair’s impact on the local economy is substantial, thanks to the more than 100,000 attendees we welcome, and I’m thrilled to see folks from across the Mid-South enjoy this year’s lineup of rides, food, music and fun.”
The Fair has a long-standing history of supporting the area’s artistic endeavors by hosting various showcases and competitions. Children throughout the Mid-South are encouraged to participate in this year’s Student Art Contest and Youth Talent Contest, which has featured renowned performers such as Elvis Presley, Justin
Timberlake, Lucy Hale and Jeremy Beloate. Additionally, Mid-South residents of all ages can participate in this year’s Poster Contest. Details on how to enter each competition can be found at www.midsouthfair.com.
This annual event offers exciting attractions and educational programs, all made possible by its generous sponsors. Businesses interested in supporting the Fair through financial contributions or in-kind donations can email info@midsouthfair.com to learn more.
